Juanita, as she is known in her native Angahuan, has become an outstanding Traditional Master Chef who has actively fought to make Michoacán’s traditional cuisine known around the world, traveling to countries such as France, Canada, the United States, Argentina and Holland.
In 2010 he traveled to Kenya, where UNESCO awarded the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity designation to Mexican cuisine. He has been participating in traditional cooking events for many years, where he has won multiple awards.
Juanita is passionate about spreading the importance of traditional Mexican cuisine to give people an identity and strengthen family unity.

Bean corundas made from nixtamalized corn dough with wood ash and beans, two-colored tortillas and zucchini atápakua.
